How do I even begin to explain this fic?
What I love most about it, on top of the exploration of two of my favorite Hunger Games characters, is how thoughtful and in character it is. I love that this fic doesn’t shy away from complex, unsolvable issues, I love that Finnick and Haymitch manage to make something good for themselves, I love the worldbuilding, which is subtle and organic and really on point –especially where the vocabulary is concerned. I love Haymitch’s Seam swear words.
There’s nothing I don’t love about this fic.
It’s well written and it made me laugh, and cry, and it surprised me in such a beautiful way that I want it to become a fandom classic. A must read, absolutely <3
