Anyhoos, for Fic Back Friday, the goal is to basically pimp fandom content that is at least a year old…but I figured after having been on the internet for fifteen years, I could do better than a year! Crowley had always trusted in the universe to look out for him, one way or another. And he’d never quite realised that, in all of his optimism, he’d somehow included Aziraphale in that assumption. That if there was something out there in the universe watching his back – be it God, Satan, someone else, or just the natural forces of cosmic entropy – then it only made sense that it would be watching out for the angel as well.

Crowley had been wrong about a lot of things – one of the perils of having been around since the Beginning.

Oh, my aching heart! I loved Crowley's despair and denial so much! The way he's trying to convince himself he's mostly fine about things where it matters least is just heartbreaking in the best way!

The sea breeze rustled through his feathers, because there are some things that should only be done in one’s true form, and telling your Creator that you don’t need Her anymore is a third.

It isn’t that Illya has a fixation, not anymore than he can fixate on a particularly rooted splinter, or passive aggressive comments made by a colleague, or scabies. That’s what Napoleon Solo is from the moment they set eyes on one another: Under Illya’s skin.

Bruce goes to the funeral as himself for a reason. Not so he can make friends with Mrs. Kent; that part's an accident. And definitely not so he can posthumously fall for Clark Kent, which is an even bigger accident. But it's fine. He can handle it.

Until Clark rises from the grave, that is.

It takes a while for Batman and Superman to work things out, once Clark comes back from the dead. Pretending to date each other in order to explain why Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent are in the same place so often? Doesn't help as much as you might think.

Five times Alfred and Diana were (technically) not on a date, and one time they finally were.

Post-JL: Steppenwolf isn't interested in accepting defeat and walking away. Superman's proven that he's the key to conquering Earth, and Steppenwolf returns with a plan for how to deal with him. A plan that Bruce is able to throw a wrench into—but not without certain unintended consequences.

Napoleon crosses the street to a payphone, digging in his pockets for change, feeding it in with hands that aren't as steady as he'd like them to be. His finger hovers over the dial. Gaby would come, but then she would fuss and ask questions. Illya will probably look at him in disgust, but he can take Illya's derision better than Gaby's concern.
