2016 Worldbuilding June, Day 1

(Well not really but I didn’t remember about this yesterday so here we are)

Introduction

The world in the FOTSM Verse doesn’t really have a name. I’ve been calling it “Le Monde des Brumes” from the start (which is where I get my username). It means the world of mist, and it’s actually just one continent on the planet where I’ve set my story, and it’s actually justified in-verse, so I’m keeping it I think ;)

Honestly the whole thing was sparked by the combination of watching The Fellowship of the Ring when I was 11, a time in which I was also reading the comic W.I.T.C.H, and so I thought “Hey, elemental elves! Cool!” At the time, the whole thing was mostly a gigantic copy of Peter Jackson’s interpretation of Tolkien, but painted black (and blue, in one case) because I always wondered why all elves were white, but with time it evolved as I read new books and started wondering why on earth neither books nor shows seemed to explore how being linked to a specific element could affect you (honestly, I blame Fandom on that one :P)

On the whole I’ve been working on this on and off for quite a while now (mostly off, though) and it’s probably my favorite sandbox, so I hope this month is going to be a fun one :D

2016 Worldbuilding June, Day 2

Geography

Behold, followers, I have unearthed this from the ruins of my (first) deviantart account that haven’t seen any dusting since 2011! I still maintain it’s their fault for being so fucking ill-suited to texts posting, tbh.
Ironically enough, this is the only map I never re-drew, which may or may not be a good thing seeing as I’m thinking about reworking the geography and using a different technique to re-do my maps.

Anyway here’s the beast (sorry about the crap quality, babu me didn’t know better xD)

Game post - WIP game (Thesis edition)

I’m fairly sure @fialleril tagged me in this a while ago and now @fel-as-in-tumbld did it to so here,have a couple sentences from my thesis because 1) this is literally the only WIP I’ve touched for an insane amount of time and 2) I’m working on it as we speak and 3) Holy shit your guys I’m almost done with it  oO

I’m keeping it in French because I still have a huge chunk of text to type but Google translate is your friend, and, if not, translating the thing and putting it up on AO3 or some such is one of my goals (provided I’m allowed to)
