Khmer New Year Check In

Today is the second day of my holidays! It’ll the be Khmer new year soon (it’s on April 14th to 16th) but everything is already super calm even for a Sunday, and I’m seizing the occasion to both relax and do a little bit of planning.

 

I’ve made my list of things to do for spring cleaning, and I should have no trouble finishing it if I can get three items done every day (though looking at the state of my kitchen counter right now it feels like things are a little more apocalyptic than planned). I also want to advance on my SBB fic’s second draft, though considering I’ve finished the first quarter of that already (20k in nine working days plus a weekend and a half: not too bad, I think) and I’m way in advance of what I’d planned, I’m not too stressed about it.

I’ll probably sprinkle at least one or two work things toward the end, because I’d like to change the way I evaluate my student’s speaking skills next session (and also give them some coaching on body language), and also one getaway day so I can escape the city for a little bit. And maybe I’ll go see Shazam.

 

Or maybe I’ll do what I do every time and mostly stay home, we’ll see. Either way: I’m on holiday. I probably won’t be too active online during this time either (which is funny considering I started the year posting once a day, and then basically remembered I had a gigantic clusterfuck of a fic to write xD) but I’ll be relaxing and that’s great.

 

(It’ll be even greater if I can get to sleeping eight hours a night though :P)

 

Anyway, I guess I just wanted to give a little update so people know I’m not dead! I’ll probably be busy with the Big Bang fic until roughly the end of June, and then I’ll see about coming back here a little more often. Hope everybody is having fun in the meantime :)

 

 

(I just realized if I keep adding roughly 9k words to each chapter of this fic, it’ll turn out to be around 95k words long, which is ridiculous and also a little scary. Also if that should be the case I don’t know that I’ll be able to crosspost it to tumblr or DW. Oh well. We’ll worry about that later on xD)
