Lightwoods & Languages

I really, really want to explore the possibilities of miltilingual!Lightwood kids, how it affects their relationship with Clary, with Jace (who is also multilingual but in a different way and with different languages sets)

I want to explore how Alec and Izzy use their languages and how they feel about their various sets –do they feel the same about Alicanti? Do they use Turkish for the same purposes? Do they dirty talk in English or another language? Which one? Why?

For now most of what I have is Clary being confused when the Lightwoods speak together in Turkish and/or Alicanti (although I’m also kind of brushing up on Jocelyn using the language but never teaching her) and I just… wish I could explore it more.

Maybe later in the story (or when I edit it) but yeah. So many interesting things to think about and so little time ><
