Shadowhunters tv show: the casting

1. Here are the only descriptors we have for Izzy:
   - Tall
   - Long black hair
   - Brown eyes
   - Sexy
   - Pale (which doesn’t have to mean white, though it’s often accepted as synonymous)
   People who can fit this include: Julie Strain, Jaimie Alexander, Famke Jamsen, Margaret Colin, Adriane Palicki, Shalom Harlow… And none of these women can be confused for one another.
   Also fitting for this description: Sydney Tamiia Poitier, Noa Gaye, Veronica Webb and Georgina Chapman (and they’re not the only ones). If the second list bothers people more than the other, I invite them to seriously think about the reasons behind this.
2. Please note that the entire cast of Harry Potter is british and surprise, they’re not all white. Europe is not all white. The argument is invalid.
3. The Lightwoods are not british, they’re from an imaginary land (that Clare placed where Belgium is) they can be any color we fucking want.
4. This Anon may not realize it but their line of thinking is seriously racist and they should seriously work on that, and anyone who agrees with them should do the same.
