Life update
Sunday, August 14th, 2016 08:24 pmOkay I kind of need to learn how to do more regular personal blogging.
Well, “need” isn’t the correct word but I feel it’s a good way to keep track of time and kind of document my life (such as it is :P) so when I inevitably erase some stuff from my memory I’ll have a place to look to in order to remember what kind of stuff happened.
Also, maybe with time I can kind of learn to control the spontaneous word vomits I usually do on Tumblr whenever I have to talk (read: whenever I’m particularly upset).
So this week was actually pretty full—I still didn’t leave the family as far as social circles go, but at least I left the house which, let’s face it, is a progress. I went to see the Ghostbusters reboot (not worth the hype imo) then spent two full days at the Zoo de Beauval with the fam and learned that 10 hours of walking up and downhill in two days is still above my skill levels :P
On the up side though, I got to see a lot of awesome sauce animals in really, really beautiful environments.
Some of the more popular animals were kind of a pain to see (the fucking carnivores ugh) because people will not move their fucking asses out of the way--hence, in part, the crappy quality of the bear pic above, but on the upside I got some wicked cool pictures of smol penguins and I love it <3
I can't really put everyon's picture in there because I have over 300 pics and it's just too much of a toll on the LJ account. Still, it's pretty cool, and I do have to include this one:
It's the setting of their Masters of the air show which includes at least a dozen species of birds, several flights of parrots, eagles, vultures and such and just, honestly, if you have an occesion to go there, treat yourself and go *_*
Then on saturday, we went to a medieval-themed meal (costumes included) in the city of Provins, and spent two hours listening to anecdotes about the middle ages, watching juggling numbers (including some with fire) and generally just having fun and hearing tons of puns, which I approve of.
The only downside is that my right foot has been swollen for a week. It looks like a (very) mild case of edema, which wouldn't be the first time (and probably wasn't helped by all the walking I've been doing) but I haven't been able to lower it even with bathing and that's kind of a problem :/
Fortunately mom's having an appointment with a doctor next week so I'll just piggyback on that and keep my salt intake low until then (she says while eating chips).
Still, all in all, excelent wek :D
