So I don’t know if this is really a trope but

You know how in stories of people stranded alone in hostile environments there’s often this miraculous stranger who helps them get back to safety/rescue point, and then it turns out that they can’t possibly have been real?

 

Well I just have this image of Kara Thrace stuck into some kind of dire situation suddenly seeing Saul Tigh sneering at her and knowing full well that he can’t possibly be there

Cue three days of Kara making her way back to the fleet/a rescue point while wondering why out of all the fracking motherfrackers in her motherfracking life her fracking brain had to conjure up this one specifically

And then she gets rescued out of spite

My family

Good summary of my father: this morning when the Sis and I woke up, he spent about 15minutes trying to figure out who rested a plastic plank against the greenhouse in the garden so he could lecture her about why you shouldn’t do that

Meanwhile it took me exactly 5 minutes to just take the fucking plank elsewhere and be done with it
